So I thought...

Maybe I can write a story and and suck people in the same way.

But all the storytelling frameworks I found were too complicated.

Remember that story I told you earlier about my first big copy gig?

It took me 60 seconds to tell it 

Trust me I set a countdown timer to make sure.

And the main technique I used was Storytelling.

I used to it sell and to teach.

That's an important aspect of storytelling that almost no one talks about.

To be a successful coach, consultant, thought leader or expert you need to do two things extremely well:
  • You need to be able to sell your services.
  • You need to be able to get results for your clients.
That's it.

Pretty simple and straight forward.

Very few people are good at both of these skill sets.

In most cases, the person is great at selling but misses the mark on getting the client results because they can't clearly communicate their methods and strategies.

The Sixty Second Storytelling Framework ™   
As you can see it's dead simple.

It's made up of just three steps.
  • The Present - This is where your main character is right now. It's the current state of pain, challenge or disappointment they're experiencing. 
  • The Change - This is how your product, service or offer changed the character. In other words, this is where we demonstrate through the use of a story how your offer resolved the pain.
  • The Future - This is the new reality for your main character where the pain is now gone. This is where we paint the picture of the newly found joy in your character's life as a result of experiencing your offer.
Now within this framework we can build a powerful story with things like a plot, characters, sensory details and conflict.

But at it's core that's the framework that works.

Anything else is just simply overcomplicated.

Once you understand how to use this simple framework you can then figure out which type of story you need to create.
